We store your images on our secure servers with industry-standard encryption. Your images are assigned a unique, random identifier that cannot be guessed.

To make ChatPic work properly, we automatically collect minimal technical data:

• IP Address: Used only for abuse prevention and automatically deleted with your image
• Browser Type: To ensure compatibility and troubleshoot issues
• Access Times: To enforce view limits accurately

Important: We do NOT use cookies for tracking, analytics, or advertising.

3. What We DO NOT Collect

Where Your Images Are Stored

Automatic Deletion Policy

One of ChatPic core privacy features is automatic deletion. Your images and data are never stored indefinitely.

When Your Data is Deleted

Your images and associated data are permanently deleted when:

• Time expires: Your chosen expiration time (1 hour to 30 days) has passed
• View limit reached: Your specified number of views has been met
• Cleanup runs: Our automated cleanup process runs daily to remove expired content

What Gets Deleted

When deletion occurs, we remove:

1. Your image from the CDN (permanently unrecoverable)
2. All database records including view counts and metadata
3. The unique share link (becomes invalid immediately)
4. Any associated IP addresses or technical data

Third-Party Services

No Analytics or Tracking

Unlike most websites, ChatPic does NOT use:

• Google Analytics or similar tracking
• Facebook Pixel or social media trackers
• Advertising networks or retargeting
• Third-party cookies for any purpose
• External image hosting services that track users

We host and serve your images directly on our secure servers with industry-standard encryption and security measures. Your images are not shared with any third-party services.

Your Privacy Rights

You have complete control over your images and data:

Right to Control

• Choose expiration: You decide how long images stay online (1 hour to 30 days)
• Set view limits: You control exactly how many times images can be viewed
• Anonymous use: No registration means no permanent user profile

Right to Deletion

• Automatic: Images auto-delete when expired or view limit reached
• Manual: While we do not provide a delete button (to prevent abuse), images are always deleted by your expiration time
• Immediate: Deletion is permanent and unrecoverable

GDPR Compliance

For users in the European Union, ChatPic complies with GDPR because:

• We minimize data collection to only what is necessary
• We do not process personal data without legal basis
• We automatically delete data within user-specified timeframes
